The Kajaani Golf course, designed by Pekka Sivula, was completed in 1991. It is built on rolling terrain. Syväoja, which flows through the area, affects almost every channel. The two long par 4 fairways favor long-hitting players, the other fairways favor the player who controls the iron clubs.
